Esthetican/Manicure Curriculum
1200 Hours
The primary objective of the Esthetician/Manicure
curriculum is to prepare students for the state licensing
examination necessary to become a licensed
Esthetician/Manicurist in Texas. This 1200-hour course
includes orientation, rules, laws and preparation, facial
treatment, cleansing, masking, therapy, and other related
subjects.
The Esthetician/Manicure course is a 1200-clock hour course
that covers the basic manicure and pedicure, oil manicure,
removal of stains, repair work, hand and arm massage,
buffing, application of polish, application of artificial
nails, application of cosmetic fingernails, preparation to
build new nail and application of nail extensions,
sculptured nails, wraps, fiberglass gels and odorless
products. This program also incorporates anatomy and
physiology, chemistry, management, color psychology, aroma
therapy, and nutrition.
This program should prepare students for an entry-level
position within the field of Esthetician/Manicure.
